It is getting better and better : A R Rahman

Having pocketed both the Golden Globe and the BAFTA awards, Indian composer A R Rahman, who has floored the international audience with his music in 'Slumdog Millionaire', is now hoping for the biggest one - the Oscars. Rahman scooped the BAFTA award in the Best Music Score category for 'Slumdog millionaire', the rags-to-riches story of a Mumbai slum-dweller that bagged six other prizes, including the Best Film and the Best Director at the star-studded function here.

"It is a great feeling.

It is getting better and better and let's hope for the biggest one - the Oscars," Rahman told reporters after bagging the award.

"It is a bit different. I think it is important for people to know who the composer is.

People started liking the music. It is a great feeling.

So, I am giving it a try to satisfy them," the musician added. Rahman has been nominated for three awards under two categories -- for Best Original Music Score and for Best Song for "Jai Ho" and "O Saya" for 'Slumdog millionaire' at the Oscars scheduled later this month.
